   My sister and best friend gave me the most awesome bridal shower in the history of showers. The decorations were super and everything went so well. I got a lot of nice gifts from my friends and we all had such a great time. She had her tables set up so nicely with adorable little glass favors for each and every guest. It really, truly was the most perfect wedding and the most perfect reception that I could have ever imagined. At the reception there were hearts and flowers everywhere you looked. All the centerpieces were bouquets of gorgeous red and white roses, with little hearts sticking out of each one, and they had little silver hearts wedding place card holders at each table setting. The wine glasses and champagne glasses made the tables sparkle. She did an awesome job of designing the place settings at the reception. They had their names and the date of the wedding inscribed on the wine glasses, and the champagne flutes were crystal. For the bride and groom, there were a couple of very richly adorned champagne glasses. They were really very unique, I’ve never seen a wedding cake topper quite like this one. She found it online at the same place she got the rest of the items she needed for her ceremony and reception. They apparently do customizing on wedding toppers, and all she had to do was send in photos of her and her fiance and they made the special cake topper couple. That’s something they’re going to enjoy looking at for many, many years.
We had a awesome wedding heart, in fact they gave us two thank you gifts. First there was a lovely votive candle holder and also coffee favors decorated in a groom package for the men and a bride package for the ladies, with little heart shaped coffee scoops. A very original idea for them to think of, I felt. Really, there was no shortage of awesome thoughts for the wedding. Obviously, Valentine’s Day made the hearts thing a natural fit, but the way she did it was quite classy. I still can’t get over how cool that cake topper was. It would be great if they did that for birthdays and other ocassions too. She offered to show me where she got everything, and she said that they have something for every occasion. It was a truly unforgettable evening, and the whole wedding was what every woman dreams of. The week they’re spending in Mexico is going even better for them than the wedding did, I’m sure. I can’t wait until they return and I can see all the pictures she took, listen to all the stories of the fabulous places they saw and things they did. From the brochures she showed me, it’s looks magnificent.

The little barbecue grills I picked out as place card holders were so cute, and I thought they would make adorable little souvenirs of our reception for our friends and family to keep. Since we were having a family cookout instead of having our party catered, I thought the little grills were a nice added touch. They were the perfect choice for our country western reception and they looked so cute. We brought in haystacks and scattered them around the area, and hung up white lights that twinkled, all through the trees. I was hoping a country western wedding and reception would be cool, but I never thought it could have been so fantastic and that everyone would have such a wonderful time.
